Modelling ridge enhanced droplet jumping with varying mismatches and scales for vapor chamber performance estimations

摘要
•Droplet jumping kinetic energy contributed by a ridge is proportional to the ridge height.•The larger the mismatch, the smaller the kinetic energy gained for ridge-enhanced jumping.•Ridges increase the tolerance for size mismatch and scale required to trigger jumping.•Ridges enhance the droplet jumping kinetic energy to overcome air entrainment.•The maximum heat flux of vapor chamber increases significantly with ridge-enhanced droplet jumping.
