摘要
Inconel 693 alloy is a potential nuclear waste vitrification electrode material. The resistance to oxidation at high temperatures can affect the service life of the vitrification process equipment. The high-temperature oxidation behavior of Inconel 693 alloy has been investigated at temperatures of 900 °C, 1050 °C, and 1200 °C. The results show that the kinetic curves obeyed the parabolic-rate law at different oxidation temperatures without abnormal turning points. The oxide film showed a multilayer structure and the oxidation products were similar at different temperatures. Differently, a new product of AlN was generated at 1050 °C and 1200 °C compared with that at 900 °C. At 900 °C, the surface of the alloy was covered with relatively dense and complete oxide films. As the temperature increased, the oxide films were flaked seriously. The oxidation provided effective oxidation protection after 50 h at 1200 °C. In addition, part of the internal oxidation products Al2O3 acted as an effect of pegging Cr2O3 films.
