Experimental investigation and analysis of cooling performance of solar thermoelectric refrigerator

•Prototype modeling of Solar Thermoelectric Refrigerator (STER) for hilly region.•The prototype use two thermoelectric Peltier unit with internal fan.•Temperature of the refrigerator cabin reduces up to 4.1 °C in cloudy climate condition.•The COP of refrigerator is achieved 0.61 with utilization of direct power from solar panel.
