Paclitaxel solubilized nanoparticles based on binding affinity for efficient drug delivery

•This work firstly designed and synthesized the oxidation-responsive conjugates HAACP and HPP.•The binding affinity was studied as the attractive force according to parameters cac, X, βm, ΔGex0, and f.•The solubilization of the optimal nanoparticles was 4338.49-fold.•The cell cycle of the cancer cells was arrested at G2/M phase and further apoptosis by the nanoparticles.•The nanoparticles exhibited strong inhibition and penetration capacity for the cancer cells.
