Novel self-pressurized ammonia-powered solid oxide fuel cell hybrid system using anode recirculation with water removal for improving high-altitude performance: Feasibility exploration

•Self-pressurized ammonia SOFC with anode loop is realized by adding turbocharger.•A part anode off-gas is recycled for stack the other is used to drive turbocharger.•Combined effect of four key parameters on thermo-economic performance is studied.•A slight high-altitude performance drop is found under the optimal design point.
