Electrical properties of low temperature-sensitive coating sensor for fatigue crack monitoring in steel bridges

•A coating sensor was made to monitor fatigue cracks of steel bridge considering ambient temperature.•The sensor uses silver-plated copper powder/acrylate composites as a sensing layer.•The fractional change in layer resistivity was tested at a range of temperatures.•The temperature variation had minimal effects on the output of the coating sensor.
