Development and implementation of a surgical management system aimed at a university hospital

Objectives: to develop and implement a surgical management system that includes a surgical list and a surgical map. Method: this study is of exploratory and descriptive nature following the applied methodological research type. The methodology used is based on the software development process of the Pressman system for the development life cycle model. Results: the system has been developed and made available on all the computers in the hospital's internal network. It was implemented in all surgical areas and the Surgical Center. Conclusion: The Surgical Management System provides real-time surgical patient information to all departments involved with surgical patients.
