BiPO4 is embedded in reduced graphene oxide as an anode for potassium ion batteries

BiPO4/reduced graphene oxide (BiPO4/rGO) composites were prepared by solvothermal method and annealing process. In terms of cycle and rate performance, BiPO4/rGO composites surpasses BiPO4 when utilized as anode materials in potassium ion batteries (PIBs). The discharge capacity of BiPO4/rGO composite maintained 204 mAh/g after 500 cycles at 100 mA g-1. The capacity might reach 194 mAh/g at a high current density of 1000 mA g-1. Additionally, the electrochemical reaction mechanism of BiPO4/rGO composites in potassium ion batteries is studied using an ex-situ XRD test.
