An Anti-Misalignment Wireless Charging System for Low-Power Applications Based on Solenoid Coils Incorporated with Reverse Windings

Many low-power gadgets can employ wireless charging technology, but this causes significant changes in mutual inductance while the device is in motion during charging. This paper offers a design approach that makes use of reverse windings (RWs) in order to solve this issue by maximizing average mutual inductance and stabilizing its variance. The RW extends from the planer coil to the solenoid. Through the optimization process, the degree of mutual inductance fluctuation is reduced nearly twice. The transmitter side places seven solenoids in a hexagonal package, and the receiver can cover a larger transmission area during migration. The effectiveness of the suggested design method has been validated by the experimental results.
