Enhancing Landfill Mechanics at Suining Airport Through Multi-Temporal Insar Observation and Mathematical Simulation

This study aims to identify and quantify landfill subsidence occurring during the completion phase of Suining Anju Airport construction. To achieve this, we employ a two-pronged approach. First, we utilize multi-temporal InSAR analysis on Sentinel-1 satellite imagery datasets to obtain subsidence measurements. These measurements are subsequently validated using concurrent field data. Second, we conduct numerical simulations of the embankment area, utilizing geological data, to comprehensively analyze the dynamic evolution of the soil stress field and internal displacement. Our findings reveal that the primary subsidence centers are in Youfangwan and Hujia Wan, with maximum subsidence rates of −108 mm/yr and −94 mm/yr, respectively. These research outcomes offer valuable insights and recommend effective monitoring measures for ensuring the airport's safe operation.
