摘要

•Effect of violent mixing on sonochemical oxidation activity was investigated (28 kHz).•Application of mixing resulted in significant enhancement in sonochemical activity.•The enhancement was due to substantial change in the sonochemical active zone.•Mixing technique could be one of promising options for large-scale applications.
