The new σ-IASI code for all sky radiative transfer calculations in the spectral range 10 to 2760 cm-1: σ-IASI/F2N

•σ-IASI/F2N is an all-sky pseudo-monochromatic radiative transfer tool for the calculation of spectral radiance and analytical Jacobians from far to near infrared of the earth's atmosphere spectrum.•It exploits lookup tables to compute the optical depths of atmospheric gas and clouds.•The multiple-scattering effects are considered with a scaling method for radiative properties, which allows following the same formalism for clear and cloudy skies.•Evaluation and validation with IASI data and ECMWF analysis.
