Wet clutch pressure hysteresis compensation control under variable oil temperatures for electro-hydraulic actuators

•The effects of oil temperature on the hysteretic characteristics of the electro-hydraulic actuator are investigated experimentally.•A hysteresis model for electro-hydraulic actuator is established which can reflect the influence of oil temperature well.•A feedforward-feedback controller is designed to improve the pressure tracking error.•The performance of the proposed controller at different oil temperatures is verified experimentally.
