摘要
•Bi5O7I/g-C3N4 was synthesized by a secondary simple calcination.•Excellent photocatalytic inactivation of Microcystis aeruginosa by Bi5O7I/g-C3N4.•The adsorption and photocatalysis of Bi5O7I/g-C3N4 lead to the inactivation of algal.•The addition of KMnO4 could further improve the efficiency of algal inactivation.
