Research on the Cloud Flash Knot Platform Based on Yolov5 Item Detection

This project developed a fast payment method called "Cloud Flash Payment" utilizing YOLOv5 object detection technology. The system can detect the products customers are holding and display the price, which, combined with facial recognition technology, enables quick payment. Customers can complete the payment simultaneously while selecting the products. Compared to traditional object detection algorithms that rely on feature extraction and model training, YOLOv5 is extensively trained on large datasets and can quickly and accurately detect various objects, greatly improving the efficiency and accuracy of unmanned payments. In actual tests, unmanned payments using YOLOv5 can complete all payments within a few minutes, saving 10% or even less of the original time compared to traditional electronic payment methods. Its advantages are particularly apparent in areas with high foot traffic.
