摘要
This study focuses on the accurate simulation of tensile performance in corroded specimens, accounting for variations in mechanical properties along their circumference. Experimental investigations were conducted to determine the mechanical properties of the pipe at different circumferential locations. To evaluate the degradation of tensile performance, test specimens were extracted from a pipeline that had been exposed to corrosive environments over several decades. Additionally, a three-dimensional(3D) scanning system was employed to capture the surface condition of the entire corroded pipeline. The surface condition was represented in the finite element models, and a comprehensive comparison was conducted between the simulation and the experiment results. Both consideration of mechanical properties according to the circumferential location and accurate measurement of corroded surface yielded good agreement with the experimental results.
