Pornography and pride: Antagonism drives links between narcissism and perceived addiction to pornography

•Past works have shown that narcissism is generally related to pornography use and feelings of addiction to pornography.•There are reasons to expect that narcissistic antagonism is likely driving links between general measures of narcissism and pornography related variables.•Across five samples and over 6,000 participants, narcissistic antagonism was the only facet of narcissism consistently related to pornography variables.•More antagonistic people are more likely to report greater pornography use and greater feelings of addiction to pornography.
