摘要

•An ultra-low Pt-loaded electrocatalyst for oxygen reduction was prepared.•Nitrogen-doped carbon nanoparticle with hollow capsule was employed as the substrate.•A suitable substrate can significantly enhance the performance of catalysts.•The catalytic activity and stability of Pt/FC@ZIF-8-C are better than those of Pt/C.
