•Clinical samples was used for miRNA sequencing, statistical analysis.•We identified the regulatory network via miR-503-5p-UNC5B for severe acute pancreatitis-associated lung injury.•miR-503-5p might influence inflammatory response and oxidative stress in the lung injury via affecting UNC5B.
