Surgical management of liver angiomyolipoma: eighteen years of experience from a single-reference center

Liver angiomyolipoma (LA) is a mesenchymal tumor of the liver which mostly behaves benign. (1) LA patients are usually established incidentally with radiological studies and diagnosed after resection of the mass due to inability to differentiate from malignant counterparts. Due to the reported local invasive and the metastasizing cases resection with negative margins is also the mainstay accepted treatment (2-4). In this paper, we present our institution’s experience of eighteen years constituted of eight patients.
