Treating executive function deficits in youth with adhd: a systematic review of pharmacological and nonpharmacological interventions, preliminary findings

Executive function (EF) deficits posit a significant functional impairment in youth with a variety of psychiatric diagnoses, notably ADHD, yet clinicians remain vastly unclear upon which treatments are available, and which treatments are most effective, to target EF deficits in pediatric ADHD. To this end, we conducted a systemic search of the extant literature to elucidate interventions of importance in treating EF deficits in children and adolescents with an ADHD diagnosis.
