Suicidal ideation in youth with and without adhd: cognitive mediators

Individuals with ADHD have an increased risk for suicidal ideation (SI), particularly among females and individuals with comorbid psychological disorders. This study aims to extend research on clinical comorbidities and investigate the mediating role of cognitive functioning on ADHD and SI. We hypothesize that clinical comorbidities will increase the risk of SI among individuals with ADHD, and cognitive functioning will mediate the relationship between inattention and SI.
