At the intersection of climate change and children's mental health: a global perspective through visual narratives

This presentation will draw expertise related to work being done in the field of climate change mental health. The objectives of the presentation are to: 1) highlight the current effects of climate change on mental health of children as evidenced by the literature; 2) discuss the relationship between social and environmental injustices related to children and other vulnerable populations around the globe; 3) present a case study discussing the psychological impact on farming communities and children who have been directly affected by climate change in India; and 4) offer strategies for child and adolescent psychiatrists to implement through their work with children, families, and the community.
