摘要

•Layered double hydroxide derived bimetallic FeNi (FeNi LDM) catalyst was achieved.•FeNi LDM electrocatalysts showed high efficiency in selectively reducing NO3− to N2.•Tuning the d-band center of FeNi LDM favored the reaction thermodynamics/kinetics.•FeNi LDM catalysts functioned well in treating real coking wastewater.
