摘要
Nanotechnology has increased breakthroughs in research due to its bioactive efficacy and resis-tance against various microbes. This review covers the ecofriendly green route synthesis of different types of metal and metal oxide based nanoparticles. The leaf extract of plants including Boerhavia diffusa, Ocimum sanctum, Datura stramonium, Cissampelos pareira, and Tinospora cordi-folia are discussed in detail as they act as a capping and reducing agent which is due to their excellent phytochemical composition. The prepared nanoparticles were subjected to some pre-clinical studies which have confirmed the presence of activities like anti-inflammatory, antioxi-dant, antifungal, analgesic, and antibacterial properties, as well as other ethnopharmacological uses. The photocatalytic activity depicted by several nanoparticles opens up the opportunity for future development of entrepreneurial backgrounds. The green synthesized nanoparticles are non-toxic, biocompatible and have future biomedical and therapeutic research and developments.
