SnO2-based sensor for H2S detection in exhaled human breath

In this paper, the tin dioxide (SnO 2 )-based thin film sensor for hydrogen sulfide (H 2 S) detection in the frequency range is presented. The developed gas sensors were tested under exposure to the target gas (i.e.) H 2 S and interfering VOCs and NO 2 in the ppm range at various temperatures (0-200°C). The sensor response (S) was defined as R g /R air , where R g is the electrical resistance in target gas, and R air is the electrical resistance in synthetic air. The highest responses were obtained for samples with 100 nm, measured at 150°C, in the 1-10 kHz range.
