Experimental Ground Penetrating Radar Imaging via Phase-Encoded Qualitative Inverse Scattering

We experimentally evaluate the phase-encoded linear sampling method (PE-LSM) for ground penetrating radar. The PE-LSM improves upon the conventional LSM for limited aspect arrays by incorporating a propagation-based phase encoding. We demonstrate fundamentally improved fidelity relative to the LSM and improved range resolution compared to backprojection.
