Penyuluhan tentang Keamanan Sediaan Obat Sirup pada Warga Dusun Randusari, Mojosongo, Jebres, Surakarta

ABSTRAK Kasus gagal ginjal akut telah menimpa ratusan anak di Indonesia dalam beberapa waktu terakhir. Kejadian ini dikaitkan dengan penggunaan obat sirup yang mengandung cemaran etilen glikol dan dietilen glikol. Penyuluhan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan warga Dusun Randusari, Kelurahan Mojosongo, Kecamatan Jebres, Kota Surakarta mengenai keamanan obat sirup. Minimnya pengetahuan warga tentang keamanan obat sirup disebabkan mayoritas warga tidak memperoleh pendidikan yang cukup tinggi dan mayoritas warga hanya bekerja sebagai pemulung. Kegiatan penyuluhan ini dilakukan secara tatap muka dengan warga. Kegiatan diawali dengan pengenalan tentang penggolongan obat dan Dagusibu Obat Sediaan Cair. Dilanjutkan dengan edukasi tentang Keamanan Obat Sirup dan dan Mengenali Gejala Klinis Gagal Ginjal Akut pada Anak. Media pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah video edukasi, leaflet, dan buletin. Evaluasi keberhasilan program dilakukan dengan membandingkan antara hasil pretest dan postest. Kegiatan penyuluhan dihadiri oleh 25 warga. Dari pretest diperoleh hasil rerata 79,73. Hasil postest diperoleh peningkatan pengetahuan dari peserta dengan hasil rerata nilai 89,60. Dengan terlaksananya kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di wilayah Dusun Randusari, Kelurahan Mojosongo, Kecamatan Jebres, Kota Surakarta ini, mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta yang terlihat dari antusias peserta yang bertanya, berdisukusi dan berbagi pengalaman seputar obat-obatan, serta peningkatan nilai postest. This incident was associated with the use of drug syrup containing ethylene glycol and diethylene glycol contamination. This community service aimed to increase the knowledge of the residents of Randusari Hamlet, Mojosongo Village, Jebres District, Surakarta City regarding the safety of syrup medicine. The lack of knowledge of residents about the safety of syrup medicine was caused by the majority of residents not obtaining a high enough education and the majority of residents only working as scavengers. This community service activity was carried out face to face with residents. The activity began with an introduction to drug classification and Dagusibu Liquid Medicine. Followed by education about the Safety of Syrup Medicine and and Recognizing Clinical Symptoms of Acute Kidney Failure in Children. The learning media used were educational videos, leaflets, and bulletins. Evaluation of the success of the program was done by comparing the results of the pretest and posttest. The counseling activity was attended by 25 participants. From the pretest, the average result was 79.73. The posttest results obtained increased knowledge from the participants with a mean score of 89.60. The implementation of community service activities in the Randusari Hamlet area, Mojosongo Village, Jebres District, Surakarta City, was able to increase the participants' knowledge as seen from the enthusiasm of the participants who asked questions, discussed and shared experiences about drugs, as well as increased posttest scores.
