摘要
There is limited data available on the optimal method for induction of labor (IOL) in pregnancies affected by fetal growth restriction (FGR)1-3. Prostaglandin use may be associated with higher rates of cesarean delivery due to non-reassuring fetal heart rate tracing4, and clinically there is concern that this could be potentiated in a pregnancy complicated by FGR. Limitations of prior studies on the topic result from varied inclusion criteria for FGR (based on severity and umbilical artery Doppler (UAD) assessments) and that direct comparisons between misoprostol and dinoprostone are lacking. The goal of this study was to compare the effectiveness and safety of dinoprostone and misoprostol for induction of labor in pregnancies with small for gestational age (SGA) neonates.
