A reader raised concerns about this article and at the editor-in-chief’s request, the corresponding author provided a copy of the study database, as well as source scan reports for four participants. The four source scan reports did not contain the cardiac function measures reported in the article, nor contain the means that could be used to calculate it. This has created serious doubts about the validity of the conclusions of this publication. Therefore, the Editor-in-Chief of the European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Biology retracts this article.
