摘要
Windstorms are categorized as high-impact and low-probability events and have been the object of study of many resilience assessments in recent years. Crucially, a large part of these studies took advantage of the so-called fragility curves (FCs) to model the fragility of the test system under investigation and compute the failure probabilities of the exposed assets. This paper explores the influence of the FCs on resilience assessments wherein several types of components and deterioration are considered, where the number of vulnerable lines is regarded as a comparison metric. To explore such a dependency, three main case studies have been deemed with different test system compositions. The results indicate that deterioration greatly impacts the number of lines affected by the storm, given the same wind profile. Finally, a comparison is provided to highlight the effects of neglecting such a casuistry on resilience assessments.
