摘要

The tpyPhOH ligand supports multiple redox processes, the first is hypothesized to be metal/ligand based PCET, and the second involves a resonance stabilized semiquinone-like species. These redox couples overlap in the absence of proton acceptors— the addition of water to acetonitrile solutions of Ru-tpyPhOH complexes teases out the PCET process.
