Brazilian Airway Registry COoperation: Comparison Between Intubations Performed by Emergency Physicians or Non-Emergency Physicians

There is a lack of knowledge about how airway management is performed in severely ill patients at Emergency Departments (EDs) in Brazil. We addressed this gap by creating the Brazilian Airway Registry COoperation (BARCO) to collect data on endotracheal intubations (ETI) performed across Brazilians EDs. Here we compare intubations that were performed by physicians trained (or in training) as emergency specialists (EME) with the ones performed by non-emergency physicians (NON).
