Always-on Low Standby Power Active Pressure Sensor Pixel Based on LTPO Hybrid Thin Film Transistor Integration

The work proposed a low standby power active pressure sensor pixel based on the low-temperature polycrystalline-silicon (LTPS) oxide (LTPO) hybrid thin-film transistor (TFT) technology for a scan-on-demand driving mode. The proposed active pixel can generate a triggered current pulse (ON/OFF ratio > 4x10 4 ) when there is a pressure event. Sensory systems can recognize the triggered current pulse and perform on-demand scanning to reduce hardware resource and power consumption. The proposed active pixel has low standby power about 450 pW which is more than 10 3 times lower than the traditional active pixel.
