9:1 Asymmetric Power Splitter Based on Nano-Pixel Waveguide

Power splitter is one of the fundamental elements in integrated photonic circuits. In this study, we experimentally demonstrate a highly asymmetric (9:1) power splitter based on nano-pixel waveguide. The implemented device was realized in a footprint of $3.2\times 3.4\,\,\mu \text{m}^{2}$ . As an experiment result, a highly asymmetric splitting ratio of 9.4:1 with a propagation loss of 2.0 dB at 1550 nm wavelength was successfully confirmed. Additionally, a power splitting ratio deviation within 10% over 30 nm wavelength-band width was successfully demonstrated.
