摘要
A new type of 3D flexible multiband antenna is proposed for use in wireless local area networks (WLAN) and fifth generation (5G) millimeter wave (mmWave) applications. The proposed antenna is built on a Ninjaflex substrate and consists of multiple hexagonal ring radiators with decreasing diameter when viewed from top to bottom. This unique 3D structure and microstrip feeding technique allows the proposed antenna to operate at resonant frequencies of 5.70 GHz, 27.30 GHz, and 34.30 GHz, meeting the -10 dB impedance bandwidth for WLAN and 5G mmWave frequency bands. Simulated results also show that the proposed antenna demonstrates good radiation performance in terms of power patterns, radiation efficiency, and gain across all three resonant frequencies.
