Planar frequency reconfigurable antenna for ISM/WiMAX applications

A frequency reconfigurable antenna is proposed in this paper for ISM (Industrial, Scientific, and Medical) and WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) applications. The suggested radiating monopole is in the shape of an F. With an overall small dimension of 30×33×1.6 mm ³ , this structure resonates in two separate states, at 2.4 GHz and 3.5 GHz. Placing a PIN diode at optimal points on the F shape allows you to switch between these bands.
