A case of paradoxical eosinophilic fasciitis in a patient on benralizumab.
JAAD case reports(2023)
摘要
Eosinophilic fasciitis (EF) is a rare fibrosing disorder characterized by erythema, edema, and induration of the proximal bilateral extremities and sometimes the trunk. Studies have implicated interleukin-5 (IL-5) signaling as one of the multiple potential mediators of disease.1 As such, a single case report has shown successful treatment of refractory EF with the IL-5 inhibitor, reslizumab.2 Here, we present the case of a patient paradoxically developing EF while being treated with the IL-5 inhibitor, benralizumab, for eosinophilic asthma.
