Are 7.5 Gy×2 fractions more efficient than 6 Gy×3 in exclusive postoperative endometrial cancer brachytherapy? A clinical and dosimetrical analysis

•For the first time, we compared 6Gy×3 and 7.5Gy×2 schedules in postoperative brachytherapy in endometrial cancer (PEC) considering clinical and dosimetry parameters.•These two schedules were similar considering vaginal-cuff relapse, late toxicities , dosimetry parameters including the mean EQD2(α/β=3) received by the most exposed 2 cm3 of CTV, overall D90 and V100.•7.5 Gy×2 fractions seem more efficient in terms of patient comfort, workload, and cost.•Dosimetry parametres were very useful in comparing schedules in PEC.
