Experimental study on flexural and interfacial shear properties of the steel-UHPC glued composite deck

•A steel-UHPC glued composite deck is proposed to mitigate the fatigue cracking of orthotropic steel deck and improve the destructible paving layer of bridge.•A series of flexural tests and shear tests are carried out to investigate the effects of different interface treatment methods, reinforcement ratios and types of epoxy adhesive on the flexural and shear properties of the steel-UHPC glued composite decks.•The developed ZR14 adhesive may be used for the engineering application of steel-UHPC compo-site bridge decks.
