A virtual inertial control strategy for bidirectional interface converters in hybrid microgrid

•Based on virtual synchronous generator (VSG) technology, virtual inertia equations are established in AC measurement and DC side in AC/DC hybrid microgrid.•Accurate power sharing among parallel BICs is achieved by making BICs share active power equally under stable conditions through virtual resistors.•Proposes a virtual inertial control strategy, simulation and verify the validity of the analysis.
