摘要

•A transparent BaF2-B2O3 glass system prepared under CO-reducing atmosphere.•The glass exhibits 650 nm broadband luminescence under 397 nm excitation.•B2+ is proposed to be the luminescence center based on Raman, ESR and XPS.
