Introduction: Evaluation of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) generally focuses on the evaluation of obstructive arterial disease based on ankle-brachial indices. However, a sensitive imaging technique is needed to detect microvascular skeletal muscle perfusion and perfusion reserve.
