摘要

•Rapid two-step development of SiO2-ZnO (SZNCs) is realized.•In the presence of SiO2 spheres, development of ZnO is wet-chemically modified.•Resultant SZNCs were characterized using SEM, XRD etc.•UV-light dependent dye degradation performance was revealed for SZNCs.
