Optimal Configuration of Hybrid Energy Storage Considering Random Component Failures

The new energy output is characterized by randomness and volatility, which has a huge impact on the power system. The allocation of energy storage to stabilize the new energy fluctuation has become the current development trend. At this stage, the research on energy storage planning rarely considers the random failure events of the system, which may lead to the failure of energy storage devices to effectively ensure the power balance and stabilize the fluctuation of new energy output. To solve the above problems, this paper proposes a hybrid energy storage optimal configuration method that takes into account the random failures of components. First, we use clustering technology to obtain typical operating scenarios. Secondly, we use the reliability tracking method of Shapley value to identify the weak links of the system and extract the bad fault scenarios. Then, based on this, we establish a hybrid energy storage configuration model to obtain a hybrid energy storage configuration scheme that is suitable for multiple fault scenarios. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed hybrid energy storage optimal allocation method is verified by the numerical results of this paper.
