摘要

•Mauritia flexuosa in an extra-Amazon environment was classified a supra-annual species.•Vegetative phenophases was negatively correlated with precipitation and photoperiod.•Number of flowers produced by male individuals was higher than female individuals.•Reproductive phenophases, flowering and mature fruits showed seasonality.•Mauritia flexuosa shows a clear pattern of phenological plasticity.
