摘要

•Hot-rolled Zn-2Cu-xLi (x=0.2,0.5, 0.8) alloys obtain first-class mechanical properties in 300 MPa (yield strength) grade rolled biodegradable Zn alloys.•New ε′-(Cu0.5, Li0.5)Zn4 and β′-(Li0.9, Cu0.1)Zn4 ternary phases are characterized.•Microstructure evolution of phases with different Li contents in alloys is observed and summarized.•Zn-2Cu-xLi alloys have proper biocompatibility.
