摘要
We consider an energy harvesting wireless sensor network (EHWSN) where one hybrid access point (HAP) coordinates the wireless energy transfer and data transmission to sensor nodes and receives data from sensor nodes powered by harvested energy. A major challenge lies in the trade-off between total achievable throughput (down-link from HAP to nodes and up-link from nodes to HAP) and ensuring sufficient energy available to charge sensor nodes. To face the challenge, we develop an optimized time allocation scheme for total throughput maximization by considering the time allocated to each sensor node and dividing the allocated time for energy harvesting, down-link, and up-link data transmitting. The simulation results validate that the total throughput of down-link and up-link depends on the duration of energy harvesting time and data receiving/ transmitting time, and there exists an optimal time allocation for each sensor node.
