摘要
In the current research, a microchannel is undertaken to evaluate heat transfer and fluid flow numerically. The nanofluid which is a combination of the base fluid and Al2O3 nanoparticles flows in the microchannel. In order to simulate the nanofluid, a mixture model is involved that is mainly used for the two-phase flows. The numerical outcomes proved that in comparison to water, the present two-phase nanofluid is able to augment the heat transfer by 14.5% at a fixed high Reynolds number. However, at the lowest Reynolds number, the value is just 8.12%. In addition to this, although the most effective parameter to augment the heat transfer is Reynolds number, involving slip condition has a positive impact on the heat transfer as it causes the nanoparticles to pull across the wall rather than attach to it. The slip condition can result in an improvement in heat transfer by 11.60%.
