Qualitative Methods and Mixed Methods

Chapter 6 presents various qualitative methods and mixed methods. The first section discusses the qualitative methods and their characteristics. The second section reviews the approach of questionnaire survey in terms of overall design, questionnaire development, and execution considerations as a research tool. The third section discusses the methods of interview, focus group study, and observation for research. The last section introduces the mixed-methods of quantitative and qualitative parts, which also addresses the advantages and challenges of using mixed-methods, and the different ways of integrating methods. Every topic review and discussion are accompanied with several examples.
